Stéphane Carricondo
Après avoir suivi une formation en arts graphiques, Stéphane Carricondo fonde le collectif 9e Concept avec Jerk 45 et Ned. Il vit et travaille à Bagneux. Stéphane Carricondo est un bavard, il fait parler sa peinture comme une nécessité de s’exprimer autrement que par les mots. Il peint des visages ou portraits, striés par des lignes fermées, exprimant la cartographie d’un territoire intérieur. L’essence même de son travail est l’homme. Fasciné par l’être humain et par tout ce qu’il peut générer et lui apprendre, Stephane Carricondo peint l’autre comme il le ressent, en essayant continuellement d’aller « voir derrière ».
Stéphane Carricondo studied graphic arts before founding 9e Concept, a collective, with Jerk 45 and Ned. He lives and works in Bagneux, outside Paris.
Succinctly put, he is a chatterbox. He makes his paintings talk a language that words do not convey. The faces and portraits he paints are streaked with closed lines mapping out a territory within. People are the very essence of his work. He finds human beings, and everything they can create and teach him, fascinating. He paints others as he feels them, and invariably tries to encapsulate what lies inside.
